What is Compounding?

Compounding Medications has been around for years. While methods have evolved over time in the advent of technological development, the core of compounding remains the same which is creating medications to the specific requirements of the patient. In short, compounding is “medications-made-for-the-patient.”

While there may be commercially manufactured drugs in the market, there are just some health conditions that can be better treated with compounding. The doctor can prescribe a specific dosage strength, active ingredients, dosage forms and even flavoring for medications that will make them more palatable.
